BQ27427: BQ27427 SoC value was not changed properly during discharge at low temp

Part Number: BQ27427
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, , GPCRB, BQ27Z746, BQ27Z561-R2

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have completed learning cycle using bqStudio on BQ27427EVM.

Then, I tried to verify SoC value during discharging at low temperature condition like 0degC.

Test condition is as below.

Temperature : 0degC

Discharge rate : 0.5C

Design capacity : 505mAh

The test results were like attached photos.

SoC value was not gradually changed, like SoC value 99% to 0% changed suddenly or SoC value went down but recovered to 99% repeatedly.

SoC value during discharging at nominal temperature seems to be normal, but at low temperature condition, SoC value seems to be improperly.

SoC 99% to 0% suddenly dropSoC 99% to 0% repeatedly

Please kindly let me have advice what kind of setting or process needs to be done for such low temperature condition usage.

As far as I know, GPCRB process cannot be applied for such ROM based gauge like BQ27427.
