EV2400: EV2400 not compatible on Windows 11 - What is the fix?

Part Number: EV2400
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76940, BQ76930, , BQSTUDIO

Tool/software:

Since EV2400 is not compatible on windows 11, what is the fix here? It is not feasible for me to use windows 10, since this has to be done on my work computer. I need to communicate to a BQ76930 IC through the  bq76940 eval software. How else can this be completed if the EV2400 no longer works?

  • Hello Miranda,

We are advising user of BQstudio to use the most current version of BQstudio along with trying a different device if they are experiencing problems using BQstudio.

    Thank you,
    Alan

  • As far as I am aware the BQ76930 is not compatible with BQstudio and is instead supposed to use the BQ769x0 evaluation software. Can you please clarify if the BQ76930 is now compatible with BQstudio, and if not, how do I get the EV2400 to work with the BQ769x0 software?

  • Hello Miranda,

It appears that BQ76930 is not compatible with BQstudio.

    Thank you,
    Alan

  • Yes, I already knew that. So how do I get EV2400 to work with the BQ769x0 software on windows 11?

  • Hello Miranda,

If BQ76930 is not compatible with BQstudio than it won't work regardless of the window software.

    Thank you,
    Alan

  • What you're saying doesn't make sense. I'm not asking to use the BQ76930 with BQstudio. I already know it's incompatible. I have successfully used the BQ76930 with the BQ769x0 evaluation software in the past when I was on windows 10. But now that I'm on windows 11 it is saying that it can no longer find my EV2400 module. What do I need to do to get communication with the BQ76930 again on windows 11?

  • Hello Miranda,

I understand what your are saying now and sorry for the misunderstanding. However the same concept would still apply since user on window 11 are still able to communicate with there devices meaning that it is an issue on windows end. The only advice we are giving in situation like this is to try a different device. There is currently no "fix" for when situation like this either than reverting back to windows 10 or using a different system/computer.

    Thank you,
    Alan
