Hi,

I want to build a Li-Ion battery cycling (charging / discharging) system with an extra battery as an energy buffer, means the battery under test is discharged into the buffer battery and afterwards charged by the energy stored in the extra (buffer) battery.

What would be better for this application: LM51770 or LM5171?

Can you please provide input/output (voltage and current) specifications of your bi-directional system?

Hi Hassan,

voltages on both sides are around 48V for the actual System, but can vary between 24V and 65V for other Test systems.
