TPS62826: Output discharge

Part Number: TPS62826

Tool/software:

Hi,

May I know how to transfer this figure to output discharge resistor?

We need compare with other product. As I know should be using outpout voltage(V)/discharge current(I)= discharge(R)

But this figure only proivde input voltage, how to I calcuate to output discharge(R)?

Thanks!

Jeff

  • Hello Jeff,

thanks for reaching out in E2E.

The discharge current is implemented as a current sink, which is approximately constant during discharge (see figure 8-42 in the datasheet). So the resistance of the current sink is changing during discharge to maintain the current at a more or less constant level. However the discharge current value depends on the input voltage and the temperature, which is reflected in figure 6-5.

    Best regards,

    Andreas.
