LM74900-Q1: Without Rsense functionality

I want to use LM74900-Q1 for our application, but I don't want to use the current sense feature.

So, is it okay if I short Rsense & keep CS+ NC, what is your opinion on the same?

Hi Sushma,

To disable current sense features, you can use a 0ohms resistor on RSENSE and short ILIM and TMR to ground. IMON can be left floating.

Keep CS+ and CS- still connected to power rail with RSET in place.

I have one question:

After disabling Rsense, will the short circuit protection still remain active through Rset & Riscp?

If yes, should I use the LM74900 or the LM74912 in this case?

Hi Sushma,

No, shorting RSENSE will disable all the features.
