Tool/software:
Hello,
i simulate the TPS55340 in WEBENCH for 24 V output at 500 mA with an input of 2.7 up to 4.2 V, because the device is powered by a lithium-ion battery in the future.
We tested this simulation on a real pcb but we only reach the following values:
- Input 4.2 V: output 400 mA at 24 V
- Input 3.3 V: output 170 mA at 24 V
I double check the simulation and the pcb design and saw that there is a "Coutx" 4.7 µF capacitor in the bill of materials in the simulation but not in the simulation schematic.
But this will not be the problem here because there are two more 10 µF capacitors as "Cout" capacitors, which are also in our pcb design.
Is this any pcb layout problem because the output voltage in the simulation seems to be constant down to 2.7 V input?
I saw that there is an evaluation board TPS55340EVM-017 but the input needs to be greater than 5 V, so we cannot use it for testing our setup...
Thanks!
