UCC28C41-Q1: How to enter standby mode?

Hi Team,

Regarding the datasheet of UCC28C41-Q1, it shows the current is 50uA, 100uA(max) in standby mode. However, we don't find any introductions about how to enter standby mode.

Before, we used disable circuit to let UCC28C41-Q1 shutdown as shown in Figure 8-7, but can't reach very low power mode.

Do you have some materials or comments to introduce how to enter standby mode?

Hi,

That current is when VDD is < UVLO off.

Thanks! Customer would like to acheieve Isupply<100uA in shuntdown or sleelp mode

Is there any methods to make quiescent current <100uA for UCC28C41-Q1, in their application, the input voltage is 12V, can't reach to the UVLO.

Or do we have any other devices can acheieve this function.

Hi,

UCC28C41-Q1 needs its VDD < UVLO off to get <=100uA.

UCC28730 can do it but not sure if your input voltage range ok to make this device to work. So you need to check.

Others such as UCC28700, but also need to check the input voltage range.

Hi Hong,

For UCC28700-Q1, do you mean the wait state current Iwait? How can this device enter wait state? I also don't find it in our datasheet.

Hi,

This device entering wait state automatically. Its low current is achieved at light load when the switching frequency becomes very low from the IC control law. You cannot force it enter low current mode except run converter load to be very light or no load at when the IC is in very low current operation.
