TPS54340B: Jitter on switching node of TPS54340B during specific Vin range

Part Number: TPS54340B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54360

Tool/software:

Hi TI support,

We are verifying to use TPS54340B and found some strange phenomenon that there are jitter on switching node of TPS54340B during specific Vin range.

Our test condition is below.

Vin : 21.6V to 26.4V

Vout : 12.6V

Io : 0.5A to 2.0A(Io max will go to 3.5A in feature)

fsw : 932kHz (Rt=110kohm)

When Vin sets 24.0V and Io=1A, there is no jitter on switching node as below.(OK)

When Vin sets 21.6V and Io=1A, there is jitter on switching node as below. (NG)

When Vin sets 21.0V and Io=1A, there is no jitter on switching node as below. (OK)

It looks like that TPS54340B has specific Vin range which causes jitter on switching node.

Could you tell me how to fix this issue?

The schematic we use is follow and if we use Rt=124kohm, jitter on switching node makes worse.

Regards,

Koji
