Im currently working on a project where in MPPT charge controller is used for charging LiFePO4 cells (4 cell series) and i introduced BQ24650 IC as the mppt controller. I designed the hardware with the help of BQ24650-EVM. After i made the PCB, the IC become hot and going into thermal shutdown stage. after examine the PCB using thermal image camera, found that the MOSFET is not hot but the BQ24650 IC only getting hot and stop functioning. Since there is no current flow through the IC, it should not get hot while operation and im unable to figure out the root cause of it. Attached schematics for that reference. i have made two prototype PCBs and both shows same behaviour.
