LP8758-EA: The I2C issue of the chip

Part Number: LP8758-EA
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP8758

Tool/software:

Is the I2C address of this IC PMU not configurable? If so, can one MCU I2C bus not support two such IC PMU chips?

What if one of my I2C buses needs to carry two of these total IC PMU chips?

  • Hi Tony,

The I2C address of LP8758-EA is not configurable, it is fixed at 0x60.

Unfortunately, LP8758 does not support multi-pmic configuration.
If it is possible to know more about the business case, please contact marketing, and we can see what can be done to generate a custom LP8758 spin with a separate I2C address.

Alternatively, you may look into using an alternate second part like LP875640-Q1 that is preconfigured for a different address (0x16).

Please feel free to share more about your application needs if you need help finding an alternative solution.

    Best Regards,
    Sarah
