I  want to make sure how to connect VIN side and VBAT Side of Charger IC BQ25751

how about the block diagra as below ,is it right??  if it`s wrong, please share a right Block diagram ,thanks

  • we try to use the BD as below capture ,we find the VBUS of type-C connector  is  0~5V  up and down  ,it can`t be stable as 5V

Do you have any idea about this situation ??

BTW ,the adapter is DC-IN adapter ,it`s not type-C adapter.

  • Hi Sky,

    Thank you for reaching out!

From the PD perspective, this is a Source-only application, correct? (i.e. the USB-C port will be a power provider only?).

I will loop in the BQ team to assist further on the BQ input adapter.

    Best Regards,

    Aya Khedr

  • Yes ,its a source-only docking .please make him reply me ASPS,thanks

  • Hello Sky,

I'm confused as to the application. It looks like the customer needs a DC-DC converter to dock the tablet.

The BQ25751 is a lead-acid battery charger. Does this application have a battery? Are you referring to the BQ25758A? The BQ25758A is a DC-DC converter that can support 20V input and 5/9/15/20V output.

If your system was referring to the BQ25758A, the TPS part and the BQ part will need to swapped around.

    Best Regards,
