Hi,

I'm trying to figure out what is causing my MOSFET to fail. Can a large voltage transient can cause the MOSFET to fail?

    Hello,

    Exceeding the MOSFET VGS or VDS voltage could cause it to fail. The MOSFET could also fail if it is not fully turned on causing RDSon to be high and create excessive power dissipation. the MOSFET could also fail if there is a short circuit through it that exceeds the ID max of the device for example during a shoot through condition. What is the DC voltage on the FETs?

    Can you also measure the VGS of the device when it is off?
