BQ25731: About power supply for USB PD without a battery.

Hi team,

I am trying to setup a USBPD system using TPS25751.
However, TPS25751 can not support external DCDC.
So, I'd like to use BQ25731 that can be configured for 30W output power as it without battery.

Is it possible to setup USBPD system by applying voltage to the battery pin?

Yes, you could power up the BQ25731 from VBAT, using a power supply instead of a battery.

The difference between a power supply and a battery is, battery can source and sink, while power supply is source only.

Do you have any application note that showing how to use power supply for VBAT?

I'll control BQ25731 as source only with USBPD.
