BQ34Z100-R2: State of charge monitoring during charge and discharge of a 6-cell series NiMH battery

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100, BQ34110

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am looking for an IC to monitor the SOC (State of Charge) during the charge and discharge of a 6-cell series NiMH battery. Currently, I am considering the BQ34Z100-R2 as a candidate.
I would like to confirm whether the BQ34Z100-R2 meets the following requirements, and if there are any other ICs that might be optimal as alternatives.

The requirements are as follows:

  1. A device that supports a 6-cell series NiMH battery configuration.

  2. A device that can detect the fully charged timing using the ΔT/Δt method.
In other words, a device that can accept thermistor input from the battery.
Alternatively, a device that uses a method to detect full charge even with low current charging would be acceptable.

  3. A device that can calculate the SOC by considering the impact of temperature changes on discharge characteristics.

Thank you for your time.
