TPS27SA08-Q1: High Side Switch Pulling Power Output LOW

Part Number: TPS27SA08-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS25983

Tool/software:

Hello!

I am currently working with a TPS27SA08-Q1 with the following schematic:

The input characteristics are:

The 24V VBB is connected to the output of a TPS25983 eFuse.

Output is currently not connected to any load. I am measuring the output voltage and it seems to not be available.

Please let me know if you need any other information.

The voltages at these pins refering to GND is shown below:

SEL1: 0.38V
SEL2: 0.38V

I would be grateful for any assistance regarding this matter.

Thank you and kind regards,
Sadheedh

  • Hey Sadheedh,

It looks like the high side switch is in an open load state. Are you able to test with a load to determine if VOUT will rise. In addition, can you probe ST and see if the device behavior correlates with the SNS mux table in the datasheet to determine an open load FLT.
