Hi,

When TPS25830A in client mode,the SOC failed to download the code from the laptop.

After adding a USB HUB between the computer and the PCBA，the SOC download the code from Laptop successfully.

The connection topology is shown in the following figure.

Could you please help analyze what caused it? Can it be solved by optimizing the peripheral circuits of the TPS25830A?

Hi Rubin,

Currently I feel it may be related to the driving capability and the cable length. Could you check the circuit without HUB but with a shorter cable? Or can you provide additional GND path between the the type-C port and reciever?

Adding a signal conditioning IC / re-driver (improve driving capability) or a LC filter (reduce noises) may improve the quality of communication under client mode. These two app notes might be helpful:
