LM4040: Wafer Fab for production

Part Number: LM4040

Tool/software:

I did a search of the TI part number LM4040A10IDBZR to see what technology is used to make this part using your "Ongoing reliability monitoring" website (Ongoing reliability monitoring) and received your report (which I attached below) that indicates the part is manufactured on two different fab lines; one being the BIPOLAR and the other being POWER BiCMOS.  I plan to use this device in a system that must survive radiation effects, so once I characterize the part for use on the program, I need to make sure I purchase the same exact part, from the same fab line, for the life of the program.  How do I specify through the part number that I want a particular fab for the device.  In addition, can you provide any details on these two different fab processes?  I would like to find the exact fab and process that is used to make each device, if this type of information can be released.LM4040A10IDBZR Technology.pdf

  • Hi Brian, since we have qualified Alternate Fab Process Technology and Assembly/Test site. Customers may receive a mix of inventory.  TI cannot provide specific shipment from a particular fab or process technology to a customer.
