Hi,everyone
BQ24032 has AC and USB pins for selecting different power source.what's the difference between using AC and USB to charge battery? If USB interface is connected to AC pin, what will happen?
Thanks in advance.

Please read the data sheet.....The USB input is programmed to act like a USB input and the AC input can be programmed to act like an adaptor input or USB input as defined by the PSEL pin. A USB source typically has less power available.
Read the USB 2.0 or 3.0 specification and the data sheet to know more details.
Hi,Charles
Thanks for you reply.I have read the datasheet before.Actually,I want to know what is the difference about the circuit in the chip between the AC and USB?If system load need more than 500mA while USB is selected as power source, will the chip cut off the current so as to protect the USB in PC?

The input control loops are independent of the output load (OUT and BAT) and if set to USB500mA, that is the maximum current the input control loop will allow.
