LM63625-Q1: About effect from VIN pin and reset pin

Part Number: LM63625-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I would like to ask the following two questions about the VIN pin and reset pin for LM63625DQPWPRQ1.

① :If the LM63625DQPWPRQ1's 12-, 13-pin VIN is unpowered and the 8-pin reset is pulled up externally to 3.3 V, is there any problem with the operation, performance, and lifetime of the IC?

②:In the case of ①, is there a possibility that the voltage of 3.3 V on the 8 pins flows backward to the VIN of 12,13 pins through the terminal protection diode inside the IC ?

Best Regard

Tomita

  • Hi Tomita,

The RESET pin is an open drain output. If there is no Vin - there will be no current path through the MOSFET. It will remain OFF. Since the 3.3V is less than the abs max voltage of the RESET pin - I do not expect any issues with performance and lifetime of the IC.

I do not expect the 3.3V to show up at Vin since there is no path from the RESET pin Drain pin to the Vin pin.

    Hope this answers your query.

    Thanks,

    Best Regards,

    Taru
