TPS53667: Questions regarding PMBus communication

Hi team,

I have a question regarding PMBus communication of TPS53667.

1. My customer plans to access TPS53667 from master device via PMBus using 100kHz communication, not 400kHz communication. Is it possible to work TPS53667's PMBus with 100kHz communication?

2. PMBus has low speed communication which is 10kHz communication. Is TPS53667 possible to do 10kHz communication bia PMBus if master device tries to access TPS53667 bia 10kHz communication of PMBus?

Hi Shunsuke,

TPS53667 will support 100kHz PMBus but will not support 10kHz.

Hi Nash-san,

Thank you for the clear answers! TPS53667 automatically detect the clock frequency of PMBus and automatically cahnges the communication speed from 400kHz to 100kHz. Thus users don't need to configure anything for PMBus communication of 100kHz. Is my understanding correct?

That is correct, there are not any configuration changes that need to be made for 100kHz or 400kHz.
