AM2732: Power Mangement for AM2732, LP877451

Part Number: AM2732
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP87745

Tool/software:

Sir,
am developing AM2732 based DSP Card for an Audio system.
'AM2732CMSFHQNZNRQ1' is opted as SOC.
I am referring HW guidelines document and AM2732 GP EVM schematics for development of this card.
As per EVM a pre-regulator LM63625 and PMIC LP87745 are used as Power supply.
Following are my queries
1. 5V is the input to DSP card, is there any single IC solution(avoid preregulator) as PMIC to AM2732. Supply requirement of board including  AM2732 is 1.2V  3A,  3.3V 1A, 1.8V 1A.

2. If I consider that only PMIC for AM2732 is LP87745 then, I have few doubts/requests
    a. LP87745 datasheet is not available, even if I have requested at TI website, it is denied. Please provide datasheet.
    b. As per part 'LP877451A1RXVRQ1' , 17.6MHz is switching frequency. As my application is not related radar/rf/awr, can I use 4.4 MHz variant. As per part number scheme LP877453 should be the option but such component not available.
    c. OTP option like A1 are not known.
    d. I could not find the details like what will be VCC voltage when  VIN is 5V for LM63625. VCC is mentioned as 5V for VIN greater than 6V but for VIN of 5V, VCC value is not clear.
    e. Is SPI port compulsory for LP87745?
  • Hello,

Sorry to hear that you are not able to get access to secure documents. It means you do not have NDA agreement with TI and that's why it is not possible to get it. In order to have that agreement, probably you may require some business case.

And regarding 4.4 MHz config, yes it is not available since most customers are using it for AWR application. However, if we get a good business case for 4.4MHz switching config, then we can release that in the future but as of now we do not have that part number.

VCCA supply for PMIC is 3.3 V and that's why pre-regulator is needed.

If  you want to use another device, then may be it would be convenient to use LP876440C0RQKRQ1 (Link ) as it is reprogrammable device.

You may need to refer to  https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slvaf93 GUI user guide on how to update the NVM.

It is bit complex device you need to understand the working in detail.

Reason I am saying this is because if you have not big enough business case then it would be not possible to do custom part of LP87745 that fits your requirements.

    Regards,

    Ishtiaque
