TPS26750: PP_EN is not set while a U-disk is plugged in.

Part Number: TPS26750
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25756

Tool/software:

 C_CC1=0.4V, C_CC2=3V. But PP_EN is 0V.

Here are some settings in the eeprom:

We hope that our device could be a source in some case, but it could not supply for U disk.

Thank you!

  • Hello,

Today is a TI US holiday.  Please excuse the delay.

  • Hi Zhiyuan,

    What is a U-disk?

Does your design source properly with other peripherals?

Do you have a PD analyzer and logs of the connection failing?

Can you share the json you are using?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Chris

  • Hello,

U-Disk means USB Flash Disk(or USB drive). Not only USB Flash disk is not work, no other devices are working.

    It's designed with BQ25756RRVR.

USB Flash disk is not PD device, I hope a 5V could be output.

    Here's my config:

  • Hi Zhiyuan,

Please understand this is a public forum, so anyone with a ti.com account can view your schematics.

Could you send me the full USB-C schematics including the BQ25756, TPS26750, TPS4S480, and USB-C connector? We can set up a private message if you are concerned about sharing on the public forum.

When you connect the USB-C flash drive, do you see any voltage on VBUS?

Could you measure the CC1 and 2 pins, and VBUS on connect using an oscilloscope and share the capture?

Are you loading the full flash binary to an EEPROM or are you loading the image over I2C?

    Does the TPS26750 have power?

    Thanks and Regards,

    Chris
