We're using the BQ24196 and I'm trying to turn on shipping mode.
I did the following:" in order to keep BATFET off during shipping mode, the host has to disable the watchdog timer (REG05[5:4] = 00) and disable BATFET (REG07[5] = 1) at the same time."
I send the command while the adapter and battery are plugged in. Before the commands I can see the battery charging. After the command it stops charging. meaning the battery is disconnected from the adapter.
When I plug out the adapter, the battery however keeps on supplying the system. I expected the battery to not supply power to VSYS. Does this only work when shipping mode is entered before the battery is connected?
