We have used TPS92201 to drive device IRLED, please help to answer below,

1. Can we always turn on EN PIN(by other words, we link EN PIN to VDD), there have any side effect beside power consumption ?

2. Can we turn OFF LED by control duty cycle of PWM, By other word , always set low or set high of PWM to turn OFF LED?

if yes, we can save one GPIO PIN from Host to control EN PIN of TPS92201.

Hi,

do you have requirement on PWM dimming frequency? if the dimming freq below 1KHz, then you can set PWM pin always high, apply the dimming signal on EN pin.

The PWM pin dimming range is 1%--100%, so there maybe still small output current even at PWM=0.

Got your message, Thanks, so you recommend we can link EN Pin and PWM together, and setting PWM always Low to turn OFF driver when EN pin also Low level? in this case still have a little power consumption even if EN=Low ?

Pls check if you have dimming control and what's the PWM dimming frequency?

If EN connected to PWM, the device maybe disabled if PWM Off time is longer than few 10us.
