LM74721-Q1: RTN usage confirm

Hello team,

My customer want to double confirm the RTN usage for LM74721-Q1.

1. If they connected RTN to the GND,  reverse polarity is disabled, whether reverse current blocking is also disabled?

2. Would you mind explain how this block work for the reverse protection logic? For reverse polarity and current both if current is also impacted?

    Hi Lanxi,

    1. Reverse current blocking will not be impacted.

    2. The exposed thermal PAD is referenced to the internal substrate of the device from there we have ESD diodes to the pins. So, if the exposed PAD is connected to GND and reverse voltage is applied, there could be chance of damaging the ESD structure.
