UCD9090A: Register setup for device details

Part Number: UCD9090A

Tool/software:

Hello,

In our board, we have two UCD9090A devices for monitoring the voltage rails. We have connected both the devices to our Intel processor via I2C bus. Our application requires us to store the Power supervisor firmware details (or) Device name in a separate Non-Volatile memory. Instead of writing these details manually on the memory, it is preferred that Processor reads these details from the devices and writes into memory by itself. Our question is - Are there any registers which stores the Device information or Firmware identifier? Could you share details of them?

Regards,

Veerasamy

  • Hi, Veerasamy,

FDh register contains information regarding device ID, and firmware version. If you use 2 UCD9090A, they probably will have the same value stored in FDh. You can use 99h to 9Eh to store information for specific device. The Processor can read these details from these registers.
