Hi Team, 

We would like to achieve constant current and constant voltage based on UCC28070 with external comparator and ref? May I have your recommendation? Thanks.

    Hello Wayne, 

    I do not believe that it is possible to easily use the UCC28070 as a CC source using external control circuits.  I think that the same slow-loop response requirement for output voltage to allow output voltage ripple will apply to the current-loop response to allow current ripple. 

    You may have to manipulate the current into the VSENSE node in order to adjust the apparent Vout to achieve a "constant" current (the average of the current ripple). 
    In that case, VSENSE is no longer an accurate representation of Vout, so functions that depend on VSENSE may not work as well (such as slew-rate correction and current synthesis), and THDi might increase. 

    Aside from these observations, I don't have any more recommendations.
