Hi Team,
1.We are working on a project , which is using USB Type C, sink mode, 5V,3A design. The capacitor value is greater than 200uF because of circuit limitations. In the USB4 certification test our board failed in the below inrush case
- From 0-100ms, any current exceeding 100mA shall have a charge less than 50uC
- From 100ms-1s, there shall be no current exceeding 100mA.
Since the product is in production phase and also very small form factor we are unable to use the dedicated USB PD controller. Can you suggest some suitable inrush current limit switch for VBUS path from TI overcome the issue?
2.For the same case we are planning to use the device TPS22992SRXN.In the datasheet the capacitance value for CT pin is given upto 4700pF for 5V Vin, Can you please confirm is there any maximum capacitance value restrictions that can be connected to CT pin? Since we need 1S delayed Vout, CT needs to be a higher value.
