I'm evaluating TLVM23615 for the following application:

Input voltage: 7.4-30V (with UVLO)

Output voltage: 5V

Maximum output current: 150mA

Input cable: 100m shielded twisted AWG26

Conductor DCR: <150 ohm/km

Capacitance: 85pF/m @1kHz

Ground capacitance: 150pF/m @1kHz

Characteristic impedance: 75 ohm @1MHz

According to section 8.4 (Power Supply Recommendations) of the datasheet, is an electrolytic input capacitor mandatory/suggested for this application?

Hi Simone,

An electrolytic is suggested for this application. You have a very long wire here and electrolytic will help damp the input resonant circuit.
