TPS62110-HT: Thermal Shutdown

The datasheet shows a thermal shutdown element in the block diagram. However, the datasheet fails to mention at what temperature the thermal shutdown is activated and shuts down the part.

The above answer does not make sense. The part is rated to work up to 175C.

Hi Arif,

Where did you see the part is rated to work up to 175C? From the datasheet, the absolute max junction temp is 150C. 145C OTP does make sense.

TPS62110-HT datasheet say the part can operate upto 175C:

Hi Arif,

The OTP threshold isn't specified in the datasheet. Compared with TPS62110 which is non-HT part device, TPS62110 shutdown temperature was 145C and max junction temp was 150C. We can reasonably assume the OTP shutdown for this -HT device is also within 5deg of max junction temperature which is 185C (max junction temp is 190C).
