In our design we would be using LM61460AASQRJRRQ1 IC ,We have created design can you please review it.

Vin : 5V to 36V

Vout : 3.3V

Iout : 5A to 5.5A

Also can you let us know about power dissipation from the IC.

Hi Tirthal Ji,

Please see my comments/questions:

1. The inductor value is too low - for 400kHz and 3.3V output - recommended inductor value is 4.7uH.

2. Ensure the input EMI Filter is properly damped.

3. Regarding thermals - you can refer to WEBENCH to get an understanding of the power dissipation in the IC. See an example: https://webench.ti.com/appinfo/webench/scripts/SDP.cgi?ID=19E2A7F2BAF99F84

At full load (5.5A @3.3V) - there is around 1.76W of power dissipation at 12V in, 1.73W at 5V; 2.25W at 36V Vin.
See Section 10.2.2.1 and Figure 10-2 in the datasheet for more information on Maximum Ambient Temperature versus Output Current.
