During bring-up of our device we skipped the current calibration because the note on the technical reference says it's not necessary due to "hardware improvements in this device" (and we're using a 1mR shunt as suggested).
During testing we found that the reported current was approximately 1/3 lower than actual current, and upon further investigation we've found that CC GAIN is set to 3.58422 which would explain that error.
Do we need to run gain calibration or should we just change CC GAIN value to "1"?
