Hi IT Experts,

I am going to design a positive and negative output power supply using LM5155 controller such as the following:

Input voltage : 9 - 18V

Output voltage : +200v / -200V

Output current: 300mA

Does the LM5155 meet the design requirements above? please advise.

Hi Meng,

Since the boost ratio is very high, flyback is recommended here. LM5155 can also be used in flyback topology.

Sorry, I forgot to declare , in fact , i want to get an non-isolated topology. but the flyback topology is isolation architecture. So could you recommend a non-isolated topology for the power supply ?

Hi meng,

For non-isolated designs, you can use a design like this.

For 2 rail output in a SEPIC and flyback, only one of the rail is directly regulated. Advantage in Flyback is you can use the turns ratio of the transformer.
