Hello,

This is a call for DC/DC suggestions.

The crucial issue here is extremely low radiated and conducted emissions.

As for output ripple, we could always add an LDO if needed.

I see that both the TPSM64406E and TLVM14406 are described as ultra-low noise in the selection table.

Is there any real difference in their noise performance?

Would we achieve the same or better noise (radiated / conducted) in a non-module solution?

For an additional application where the input is 8-20V, output 4V and output current around 700mA, what would be the best lowest noise candidate?

Hi Andrew,

At this point I cannot, however I will be happy to do so once the board is after layout.

This is for a new board, that unfortunately must include on it quite a few switching power supplies as well as analog drive circuits for extremely sensitive optical components.

Hence my search for switchers that will have very small ripple on the output and very low emissions and conduction noise back from the input.

Hi David,

Per the datasheet, you can expect to pass using TPSM64406E. You may need to add an input pi filter for conducted emissions.

This is what we used in the testing.
