I would like to know what information I can use to confirm that my BQ34Z100-G1 learning cycle was successful. I mean, is there any register in BqStudio that I can plug my board and batteries into and be sure that the learning cycle has occurred? Is there any way I can verify this in practice? (For example, plug in an uncalibrated battery and see some register and then, after doing the cycle, check this register again with a new value)

Hi Igor,

The easiest way to tell if the learning cycle was successful is looking if the update status (or Lstatus) = 6 in the gg. file.

Okay, I'll try to open and check this value.
I have another question, since I already have the golden image, in case of mass production, would it be necessary to perform the learning cycle on all the batteries that would go in the products or would just recording the golden image be enough?

Hello Igor,

The learning cycle only needs to be done correctly once during development stage and when you validate that your data memory parameters and your calibration are working correctly together than you are able to get your golden image. With these files you would flash them into your battery gauges during production. Please review the EVM documentation for upbringing your board.

Would it be possible for me to get a golden image to burn on my IC so that it returns to the factory defaults? I ask this because I would like to check when my boards are burned with golden image and when occasionally the burning does not happen, therefore, I would like to see how the IC shows the original factory information and then see how they look after burning the golden image.

Hi Igor,

You can reset your IC back to factory defaults. To do this, you can the attached link to download the original firmware for the BQ34Z100:
