BQ24079T: Query related to Material content search option on Texas Instruments website

Part Number: BQ24079T

Tool/software:

Hello support team,

Hope you are doing well. We are trying to access the presence of PFAS in the TI parts we use in our Abbott products. For each MPN we are searching in the Material content search, we are getting multiple test reports for same part number(screenshot below).

1. Among all the reports below, which one should be considered for material assessment?
2. Are all the test reports below same or different? If different, what is the difference?
3. Why is the material mass different for same part number?
4. What does .A and .B in BQ24079TRGTR.A & BQ24079TRGTR.B indicate? Are they same or different? If different, what is the difference?

The part number mentioned is just an example, we have multiple parts with the same questions-FYI

  • Hello Srivastav,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm looking into your questions and will get back to you by end of day.

    Best regards,

    Alec

  • Hello Srivastav,

    1. All of the reports are valid, as parts may be received from any of the listed assembly sites.

    2. Multiple reports for the same part number indicate the part is assembled at different sites - refer to the "Assembly site" column.

    3. Differences in material mass are typically due to components being sourced from different suppliers. The variation in mass reflects differences in composition between components from those suppliers.

I'm still looking into question 4 and will follow up as soon as I have more information.

Let me know if anything needs further clarification in the meantime.

    Best regards,

    Alec

  • Hello Srivastav,

    Thanks for your patience.

    4. Alternate part numbers (APNs) with suffixes like ".A" or ".B" refer to products based on specialized manufacturing flows. For more details, please see: https://www.ti.com/ordering-resources/import-details.html

    Best regards,

    Alec
