TPS5432: Schematics Design Review

Part Number: TPS5432

Tool/software:

Kindly review the attached schematics for the TPS5432DDAR buck converter, configured to provide output voltages of 1.8V and 3.8V. A reference block diagram is also included for your understanding.

Please let us know if you have any feedback or recommendations.

  • Hello Anjana,

    thanks for using E2E.

The FB voltage divider of the 1.8V schematic does not fit to the desired output voltage.

The rest of the schematics is looking OK.

The TPS5432 is a very old device. If you don't have a specific reason to use this device, then I would recommend to use one of our newer devices. Typically the newer devices have internal compensation which would allow much easier designs with less components. You could evaluate the TPS62A03 as a general purpose converter, but I could also offer special feature devices if necessary.

    Best regards,

    Andreas.
