Hi,

I'm designing a fail-safe circuit that operates at 3.3V input and output. The output should be enabled using the pwm format enable signal; otherwise, it should be disabled.
When the PWM enable signal is low or high, the output should be 0. The output is only enabled when the pwm signal is received.

Basically, I'm avoiding the situation when the enable signal is trapped at 0 or 1.

Please let me know if any IC is available.

Mastik,

UCC33xx0 family of devices are DC/DC isolated bias supplies. Are you looking for a bias supply? If yes, UCC33010 has a 3.3Vin/3.3Vout Pout=1W nominal. If you are looking for a different IC, I recommend checking the portfolio in ti.com Our products | TI.com

Hi Manuel,

I want same UCC33010 functionality but the Enable signal should be PWM.

Accoding to datasheet, Enable input pin: Forcing EN low disables the device. Pull high to enable normal device functionality.

But I want Output disable in both case, only output should be enable in PWM input.

Hi Mastik,

You can use an MCU to control the EN pin of UCC33010. EN pin bias current has a max. value of 10uA, so it can easily be powered by an MCU.

HI Mastik,

Not exactly. When EN pin is high (3.3V-5V), UCC33010 will switch and regulate 3.3V and when EN pin is low (0V), it will stop switching and regulating 3.3V.
