BQ76905: Body diode protection during Sleep mode

Part Number: BQ76905

Tool/software:

Could you please clarify the behavior of body diode protection in the following scenario?

  1. The host MCU disconnects the charge MOSFET due to an overvoltage condition.
  2. The device subsequently enters sleep mode because of low current draw.
  3. A discharge current exceeding the body diode threshold is then applied.

In this case, will the body diode protection mechanism cause the charge MOSFET to reconnect during sleep mode due to the reverse (discharge) current?

TIA
