TPS25751: Configure PD to enable 9V VBUS pass through without PD negotiate

Hi team,

Customer get one inquiry regarding TPS25751.

Does it possible to configure it always enable the VBUS to PPHV path without PD negotiate?

They would like apply a 9V at VBUS, let the 9V pass to PPHV and following circuit.

    Hi Will,

    No this is not possible. With TI PD controllers, you need PD negotiation to obtain 9-V and for the power path to close. There are no external controls to force the VBUS to PPHV PD controller power path to close.

    This would go against the purpose of the PD spec regarding controlled power negotiation.
