TPS1H000-Q1: Reducing open-load detection current

Part Number: TPS1H000-Q1

Tool/software:

I want to reduce the current that will be detected as an open-load for TPS1H000-Q1. At 6V min supply and max Iol,on of 8mA, a load of >750ohm will trigger an OL fault. This may result in false open-load triggers in my application. Is there a way to push this open-load detection to >2kohm (Iol,on of 3mA)? If not, is there an alternate device that could achieve this?

Thanks,
Matthew Guibord

  • Matthew,

For the TPS1H00A-Q1 the open load detection (ON state) is a set static value and cannot be changed.

What is the voltage range of the application and what are you driving? If it does not have any significant inductances on the output, a simple load switch might be able to work here.

I will message you offline on roadmap devices that might be able to solve this.

    Best Regards,
    Tim
