BQ25606: Discharge issue of BQ25606

hi Expert

Currently, I'm using BQ25606. There's a problem now that when the battery voltage is relatively low, it doesn't support high-current loads. Could you please tell me if there's any component that can support a lower current of 3.0V for external discharge

  • Hello,

This is most likely related to the impedance of the battery path. When a high current is loaded on a 3.0V battery, the pin BAT voltage on the IC may dip below the VBAT_DPL_FALL causing the BATFET to turn off. Please lower the impedance to the path.

Here are several options in the same family. The BQ25606 threshold is 2.15V min and 2.6V max. The BQ25616 threshold is 2.18V min and 2.62V max. The BQ2562x threshold is as low as 1.7V min and 1.9V max with I2C selection.

    Regards,

    Mike Emanuel
