TPS22810: During the test, we found that for the TPS22810DRVR, VOUT was outputting without enabling it

During the test, we found that for the TPS22810DRVR, VOUT was outputting without enabling it，And this situation occurs many times，It is an inevitable situation on the board.

Under normal circumstances, if there is no EN voltage, there should be no output. Please help check what's going on?

This phenomenon is present in each of our boards now, and we have tested that there is no short circuit in the VIN and VOUT of the chips

When powered on, EN is at a low level, and the output voltage is consistent with the input voltage

Could you please help me see what the problem is and how to solve it? Thank you!

    Hello Tony,

    I have some follow-up questions to understand the phenomena,

    1. Is the device enabled when ON voltage is given? VIN present and then voltage given to ON pin and you get OUT voltage. Is this sequence followed?

    2. In waveform, is the red one ON pin voltage? Is it taken at ON pin? Please capture the OFF sequence. When ON pin is pulled low with VIN, VOUT and ON pin voltage.

    1)No problems were found in terms of timing



    2) If the EN pin is grounded with a resistor, the chip will still work, or if the EN pin is directly left suspended, the chip will also work.

    It seems that the EN pin has been raised directly inside the chip. No matter where the EN is connected or even grounded, the chip is always working.And it seems to be in a normal working state

    I have bought samples from the spot mall for testing to see if it's a batch issue

    How many devices you found this issue?

    Is it occurring after A-B-A swap or by resoldering? Do you have TI EVM or any golden board where you can populate the failed device and check if same issue is occurring?
