TPS746-Q1: Under below condition, whether component have any risk?

Hello,

Our current test condition is input voltage 5V, output voltage 3.3V, max current 595mA, external temperature 85℃

May I ask when under this condition whether component have any risk?

    Hi Chen,

    (5-3.3)*0.595 = 1.0115W power dissipation. Given that the recommended operating conditions go up to 150'C, there is no risk as long RθJA <= 64.3'C/W. Since the DRB package thermal metric (as simulated on a Jedec Standard Board) is 55'C/W this should be perfectly fine.
