  • Hello Irfan,

    1. Please be aware that this power switch is for USB applications, and not HDMI.
    2. Please note this device's EN pins are active high.
    3. Ensure adequate capacitance are placed close to the device as possible on the input and output for local noise decoupling and to prevent potential voltage undershoots and overshoots.

    BR,

    Seong

  • Hi Seong,

I am aware of the switch application is for the USB but I am using it to deliver the power so can i go with it or will there be any issue.
Yeah i know that the EN pins are active high
We will place the caps near to the IC's

    Thanks,
    Irfan

  • Hi Seong,

What about the OC# pins should i leave  it floating or should give it some pull up. please also answer this.

    Thanks,
    Irfan

  • Hello Irfan,

I see we had a similar discussion last month here.
As mentioned then, while the TPS2052B is capable of handling 500mA, it is a power switch for USB applications, so we cannot guarantee that it will meet all HDMI standards.

And if the OC pin is not used, it is recommended to simply ground this pin.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Seong
