TPS1641: output discharge when EN pin is pulled low.

When using TPS16416, and driving it's EN/SHD# pin Low, will the output discharge without external load?

while the datasheet provide information about the output behavior during overcurrent and overvoltage events, I could not found information regarding the output behavior when the EN pin is driving low.

using PSpice simulation module show that the output will discharge without any external load In about 7mSec for 28v (attached pics).

but I would like to confirmed that this is indeed the output behavior.

Please advise.

Hello Binyamin,

OUTPUT discharge depends on COUT and ROUT.

TPS1641 doesn't have quick output discharge.

Yes, Correct.

Internal FET will be opened when EN is low.

I will suggest to check the simulation model since its discharge the output internally when EN is low.
