LM5143: The impact of VCC powered internally

Part Number: LM5143

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Can you help to confirm what's the impact if VCC be powered internally, that is, VCCX connected to AGND?

BRs,

Rannie

  • Hi Rannie,

If VCCX is not powered, then the VCC bias rail is provided by the internal VCC subregulator. The power dissipation in the IC is Vin*Ivcc, where Ivcc is mainly the current to drive the FETs, which is Qg*Fsw for each FET.
