LP5864: Close the broadcast of LP5864

The problem now is that there are two ways to define the slave address of LP5864: independent and broadcast. However, there is now a problem where I suspect that the slave address of my other I2C peripheral device happens to be the same as the broadcast address of LP5864, causing a conflict. (This means that I originally wanted to read and write to another I2C device, but mistakenly sent data to the broadcast address of LP5864). I wonder if there is any way to turn off the broadcast part of LP5864? I control LP5864, just use the independent defined slave device address

Hi Iris,

The broadcast mode can not be disabled while the I2C interface is selected through pulling down the IFS terminal.

One approach i can think out is using a GPIO port to pull high the IFS terminal if don't communicate with LP5864.

Are you saying that if I need to initialize another driver that conflicts with the broadcast mode of the LED driver, I need to disable the IIC mode of the LED driver first, that is, raise the IFS port? But my other driver also needs to use IIC communication, will it affect it?

Hi Iris,

When IFS of the LP5864 is pulled high, the SCL/SDA of LP5864 will switch to SPI_CLK/SPI_MOSI that are two input pins. So I think it will not affect the IIC communication.
