Tool/software:

I'm looking for a Watchdog circuit with Latched output for a safety relay function.

If the WDI is not toggeling the relays will be switched off.

I would like to use a TPS3435 with adjustable watchdog time (external capacitor), but I can't seem to find the desired part among the available options in the sample & buy section.

Is it possible to get hold of this variant:  TPS3435AFACADDFR?

Another option is one with a fixed delay of a few seconds, but this is not very available either:  TPS3435JAJAJDSER.

Do you have other more available watchdog circuits with latched outputs?

    Hi Ole,

    Are you able to provide the timing requirements you need for your watchdog device, reset delay and watchdog timeout?

    Hi.

    The requirements are very relaxed. This is for a slow responding system. Main feature is the latching output.

    The reset delay can be anything from microseconds up to a few seconds, this is not a critical function.

    The watchdog timeout should ideally be 1-5 seconds.

    I was thinking of making something out of a 555-timer (missing pulse detector), but I would need a dual edge trigger in addition. Was hoping that there would be a device with this feature built-in.

    Hi Ole, 

    The closest device we can recommend for that specification is the TPS3705. This device has a latched out watchdog output with a 1.5s timeout. 

    This device also has a dual ch voltage monitor, but if it is not utilized they can just be left connect to VDD.
