Dear Team,

We need clarification regarding the overvoltage cut off,

we are using this from past one year and we produced around 500 products using this IC and we are not found any difference in the overvoltage threshold,

but we found the increased tolerance in the overvoltage cut off, please let me know any update in the IC, if yes, please share the PCN.

The designed cut off voltage is 36V and the previous lot ICs behavior is within the range and the result is almost same but, recent batch ICs are increase to 36.5 to 36.7.

we are replacing the old Lot ICs to failed boards and after it is working withing the limit, we tested vice versa.

we are in middle of the production, please provide feedback early as possible.

  • Hi Rudraprasad,

    OV has a min and max spread. Hence a 100mV difference in OV cutoff voltage is normal and expected.

    There are no changes in the IC.

    Thanks for the swift response,

    please find the resistor values used for OV monitoring,

    R1=91K 1%

    R2=22.6k 1%

    R3=4.02K 1%

    as per give limit (Vof)the Min OV is 30.11 and max is 35.6, but we observed in the recent lot it crosses 36V, find the attached report and schematic for your reference.

    The max value of OV(R) comparator is 1.33V

    Hence the maximum value for over voltage cutoff can be 38.9V with your resistor set.
